About this site
What this site is
Rolling Freedom Project is a free planning resource for people converting school buses and motorcoaches into homes. It exists because the planning tools for this have always been either an expensive CAD package or a sheet of graph paper, and neither of those helps you find out that your bed will not fit crosswise before you have bought the timber.
How the data is put together
Every dimensional figure carries a label saying how well we can source it, and where we do not have a figure we trust, we print nothing rather than a guess. The reasoning and the sources are set out on the sources page.
Who runs it
Rolling Freedom Project is run by a small independent team rather than a publisher or a manufacturer. Nobody pays for a favourable mention here, and no vehicle or product in the database is placed by its maker.
A fuller biography is coming. If you want to know who is behind a technical claim before you trust it — and you should — the sources page shows exactly where every figure came from and how much weight it deserves, which is the more useful answer.
Nothing here is engineering advice
The guides are researched and cited, but they are planning guidance, not certification. Electrical, gas and structural work should be checked by someone qualified. See the terms and safety notice.
